Director Maria Bolme starts making a documentary about the holocaust survivor, social worker and lecturer Emerich Roth, but during the project Roth passes away. Instead she writes a letter to Emerich which she transforms into a marionette.
The main focus of Roth’s work was “How can we reach out to the youth?”. Even though he had survived five concentration camps he kept endeavouring himself with listening and understanding, even those who thought differently. Or perhaps, mostly those. Because no human is born a fascist, and the road to change is to let people in, even the people whose opinions differ from ours.
