We are now opening submissions for Work in Progress as well as for documentary works in all genres ahead of the festival, 2–8 March 2026.

Public works in all documentary forms wanted!

Tempo is a festival for all kinds of documentary expression, and we are now looking for works to be presented at the 2026 edition. Do you have a public piece in, for example, VR, performing arts, photography, sound, installation, or art, and would like to collaborate with us? Get in touch at ulrika.bandeira@tempofestival.se by 31 October.

Work in Progress

We are looking for feature-length projects in production or post-production to take part in Tempo’s Work in Progress programme. Each presentation slot is about 20 minutes and should include clips from the film. All Work in Progress presentations take place during Tempo’s industry programme and are automatically nominated for the DAE Encouragement Award.

Submit your project by 31 October. (Submission form in Swedish.)

Changes in the Leadership of Tempo Documentary Festival

Tempo Documentary Festival is undergoing a partial leadership change as Ida Thorén has stepped down from her role as festival director. As part of an organizational review, Cecilia Björk will step in as interim festival director until the next edition of the festival.
