A master of balancing the documentary and the fictional is this year’s guest of honor, the Slovakian director Péter Kerekes.

It’s funny, it’s ludicrous, it’s brutal, terrible and straight to the point. Péter Kerekes depicts both great historical events och small personal moments with a unique mix of humor and clarity. His films have been awarded at international festivals, but he is still a hidden gem to large parts of the Swedish audience.

We are overjoyed to be able to screen his latest documentary, Wishing on a Star, along with a retrospective including three of his previous works. The retrospective will be available online on Draken Film as early as the 5th of February and will be included in your online pass or festival pass. Péter Kerekes will guest the festival to join in conversation with the audience and host a master class in our industry programme. Do not miss this chance to acquaint yourself with one of the most innovative film makers of our time.
