Mats and Marguerite have been married for forty years but live together yet apart, bound by silent routines and parallel lives. When their daughter Astrid reveals that she is pregnant, something shifts in Marguerite. Astrid fears losing herself to motherhood—a reflection of Marguerite’s own life, in which her creative dreams were once set aside and never truly became hers again.
