The Nation’s Memory

Every day, enormous amounts of printed material arrive at the Royal Library’s underground storage to be preserved for the future. Since 1661, the institution has collected everything printed in the country, from invaluable texts to millions of flyers. The Nation’s Memory is a fascinating and sometimes absurd portrayal of a bureaucracy whose literal obedience archives our present. What imprint do we leave behind for future generations to find in our mountains of everyday print?
