After the Soviet invasion of Prague, photographer Libuše Jarcovjáková begins documenting her life, her surroundings, and her long journey toward self-liberation. Her camera captures everything—from the mundane constraints of everyday life to the restless undercurrents of rebellion, nudity, sex, and alcohol. From Prague’s gay bars to Tokyo’s fashion scene, the film follows her acts of defiance and self-exploration. Composed entirely of still photographs, the film pulsates with club music at times, transforming static images into something dynamic, blurring the line between photography and cinema.
