Aleque & Issay

Aleque and Issay are three-year-old twins who have just moved from Sweden to China. Everything is new—the towering buildings, the face masks, and the countless adults stopping to stare at them with curious eyes. The film follows the twins for four years, consistently maintaining a child’s-eye perspective, keeping the camera at their level. The drama unfolds in everyday milestones—learning to ride a bike, losing a tooth, or mastering the art of blowing out birthday candles. A film that laughs, cries, and feels alongside the children’s infectious giggles and tears.
