The sense of being visually overstimulated led Mia Engberg to create a film in total visual silence. Secrets of the Sun examines what happens in the tense dynamic between the film frame, the sound and the audience. The film is based on the same soundtrack as Hypermoon (Tempo Documentary Award), but has a completely – or almost completely – black image. Through the black image, a cinematic narrative is being shaped that meets the viewer on their own terms. Here is a space to fill with your own inner images.
The short film The Last Name of John Cage by Margaux Guillemard is screened before the film.
Friday March 10, 19.30-21.15, Victoria 2. Followed by QA with the director.
