In a world marked by imperialist frenzy, female architects in war-torn Ukraine aim to launch a Renaissance revolution. Anastasia’s young collective dreams of building sustainably, greenly, and better. Tetiana and her husband were named Architects of the Year 2024, but now he is missing in action. If many male architects are occupied or lost to the war, what does this mean for the modern reshaping of Ukraine, Europe’s second-largest country, and for the rest of the architecture and design world?
The project is presented within Tempo Pitch, where seven film projects are pitched in front of an audience and a jury consisting of selected industry experts. The winning project is awarded 90,000 SEK by Film Stockholm, SVT Documentary, and the Swedish Film Institute. New this year, Docs Ireland and DOK Leipzig will present awards to their favorite pitches. The presentations are moderated by Martijn te Pas.
