Anna Eborn is a film editor whose work is characterised by visual sensitivity, curiosity and a strong artistic drive. She edited this year’s opening film La belle année by Angelica Ruffier, as well as Kalak by Isabella Eklöf, and her own award-winning documentaries Transnistra, Lida and Pine Ridge, which have competed at festivals such as Rotterdam, San Sebastián and Venice. In her masterclass, she shares her experiences of editing documentaries about love. She also talks about the collaboration between director and editor, intuition, intention, and the importance of insisting on your own expression and believing in your scenes’ potential all the way to the end.
