Gudrun was 20 years old in 1978 when she backpacked by train through Europe together with her friend Anneli. In Belgrade, the young women were groomed by two men their own age, and Gudrun was raped. They never reported the crimes and told nothing to their families, but Gudrun managed to see her perpetrator’s passport and memorized his name and date of birth. Nearly 50 years later, Gudrun wants to travel to Belgrade to track down her perpetrator and confront him. She brings her eldest daughter, Anna, along to film.

The project is presented within Tempo Pitch, where seven film projects are pitched in front of an audience and a jury consisting of selected industry experts. The winning project is awarded 90,000 SEK by Film Stockholm, SVT Documentary, and the Swedish Film Institute. New this year is that Docs Ireland and DOK Leipzig will present awards to their favorite pitches. The moderator for the presentations is Martijn te Pas.

Tempo Pitch takes place on March 5, 3:00–5:30 PM at Debaser. Industry accreditation is required to attend. Read more here.
