Sixteen-year-old Soraya is an Afghan artist who has spent five years trying to leave Iran and reach Europe. Through drawings, sculptures, and mobile phone videos, she depicts her escape attempts, a life marked by violence, and an unyielding determination to shape her own future. The film places us in the midst of her reality: the life-threatening journey, the prolonged and frustrating waiting, and the act of creation, where art becomes an existential form of resistance. Winner of the Best Film Award at IDFA 2025.
