Registration for Tempo Pitch is now open!

Seven projects will be selected to present their new film projects to an audience and a jury of selected industry experts. The winning project will receive SEK 90,000 in development funding.

Tempo Pitch is aimed at professionally active producers/directors, at least one of whom has produced at least one film that has been distributed in cinemas, TV or VOD. The project must result in a feature film and be at a stage suitable for presentation. The project must be in need of funding.

Tempo Pitch is organised in collaboration with the Swedish Film Institute, Film Stockholm AB and SVT Dokumentär.

This year’s theme is… FICTIONS

The staged, the faked, the synthetic, the AI-generated, the dramatic, the polished, the entirely made up. In this year's edition of Tempo Documentary Festival we will deep dive in the fictional and explore how different forms of fiction create perspectives on reality and shift the boundaries for documentary storytelling.

Changes in the Leadership of Tempo Documentary Festival

Tempo Documentary Festival is undergoing a partial leadership change as Ida Thorén has stepped down from her role as festival director. As part of an organizational review, Cecilia Björk will step in as interim festival director until the next edition of the festival.
