The Missing Picture

Building on his previous work like S21: The Khmer Rouge Killing Machine and Duch, Master of the Forges of Hell inimitable director Rithy Panh continues to examine the horrors of Pol Pot’s reign of terror and the mark it left on the people who managed to survive the killing fields of Cambodia. Panh is himself one of those who endured the genocidal madness of the Khmer Rouge, he was a teenager when the communists seized power in 1975. The Missing Picture is his personal testament to that strange, terrible and unforgettable time, bringing his memories to life with inventive clay figurines and powerful, subdued narration.

Tempo tipsar! Emilie Löfgren, redaktör för programtidningen.

I want to tell about my favorite films The Artist and the Thief; an exciting film about how a theft becomes the beginning of an unlikely friendship where they are both forced to face demons from the past. Our Time Machine is a great movie about creative anxiety, a father suffering from dementia who's memories  become increasingly blurred and the director's longing for his own family.
