Last spring, the Swedish poetry collective Revolution Poetry celebrated five years at a crowded Folkoperan in Stockholm. Revolution Poetry is a poetry collective and network that with spoken word creates a scene for the marginalized voices from the suburbs of Stockholm. They work within the cultural politics to create a change rooted in their everyday lives. They have managed to live and survive. They have grown strong in Stockholms large and small scenes with powerful spoken word. Now the journey continues, but in which direction? And what’s the next step?
The screening is followed by a Q&A with the director Magnus Johansson and the main characters Nachla Vargas Alaeb and Barakat Ghebrehawariat, and poetry reading.
