Mallory grew up among wild among punks and skinheads in Prague’s underground and has had a rough life living on the streets and being on drugs. Her self-destructive lifestyle was, in her own words, a protest against both her parents and the Bolsheviks but where her addiction to heroin didn’t end as easy as her teenage revolt. The Czech master documentary filmer Helena Třeštíkovás has followed Mallory for 7 years, which makes the film about her an existential and almost physical experience of the passage of life, and of the good and bad choices that shape it along the way.
