Letters to Sweden
A mother tells her daughter in the voicemail that she decided to move back to Sweden after 20 years in hers native Somalia. The daughter writes back and wonder why the mother wants to move back to Sweden. The daughter paints a picture to the mother of a Sweden that has changed. With the letter correspondence between a mother and her daughter, we follow the story of identity and migration. Through a collage of moving images, we experience two people’s view of “home”.
