Jag vill se

One day, Erik comes home from school and finds out that his father has jumped from his office window. He locks himself in his room and draws and never wants to stop. It’s only many years later that he overcomes the grief and starts to put together the puzzle pieces of his father’s past with the help of photos. Like an old ghost who finally comes out into the light. Jag vill se is a film that dares to face with what has happened and not to be silent about it. It’s about the past that sometimes repeats itself and the darkness that we carry within us.

(Is shown together with Karin och kuratorn, On Top of Your Gaze and Räkna dagar, räknar år in TSA 1)

Tempo tipsar! Emilie Löfgren, redaktör för programtidningen.

I want to tell about my favorite films The Artist and the Thief; an exciting film about how a theft becomes the beginning of an unlikely friendship where they are both forced to face demons from the past. Our Time Machine is a great movie about creative anxiety, a father suffering from dementia who's memories  become increasingly blurred and the director's longing for his own family.
