Homo sacer

During the violent riots in London 2011 Esau Essadi Green got caught on film when he robbed a semiconscious man on the street . When his identity is revealed he becomes hated and his face becomes a symbol of the heedless egoism that become a symbol for the riots in England in the eyes of many. Esau becomes a digital phantom, based on stereotypes and simplifications. In Homo sacer, we meet people from Esaus environment that gives another picture of him with the backgrounds to this event. What emerges is a complex picture of a perpetrator who also is a victim.
