Film Breakfast: It’s Getting Dark

According to Russian human rights organizations, there are currently over 100 political prisoners in Russia – people imprisoned solely for their political or religious views. Who are these people? How does a politically motivated trial work? And how will the families of the victims be affected? We will screen the documentary film “It’s Getting Dark” by the Russian filmmaker Olga Kravets who followed five families who have had relatives that had to endure these obviously politically motivated trials. After the film, Olga speaks with the Russian human rights defender and journalist Olga Romanova, who has examined the law and prison conditions in Russia for several years.
