A poetic and performative narrative about finding one’s true self in a world of change, chains, and creativity. The old Beirut merges with the new, where symbiosis is as present as the contrast.
Marc works at the second-hand store Depot-Vente, where he designs accessories made of chains. Like a butterfly in an urban environment, Marc and his friends bring color to their surroundings. Through a metaphorical analogy of how the unique transformation of a caterpillar emerges, Yellow is the Color of Happiness is a journey through time that follows a city from morning to night. At the same time, the idea is challenged that we humans are also part of an ecosystem that can evolve into new graceful beings if we choose to blossom.
After the screening on March 6, there will be a Q&A session.
