Maximilien van Aertryck and Axel Danielson, the directors of Tempo’s inaugural film And the King Said, What a Fantastic Machine!, talk about their work with the film and this year’s focus Digitala speglingar (digital reflections). Through a mix of archival footage and own documentation, they show the complex relationship of man to the camera from a historical perspective.
Maximilien van Aertryck and Axel Danielson are the well known directors behind the 2016 viral short film Hopptornet. The latest film And the King Said, What a Fantastic Machine! premiered at Sundance Film Festival where it won the Jury’s Special Prize for Creative Vision.
