COOKING WORKSHOPS TO PREPARE FOR THE END OF THE WORLD: #6 TEA

In an interactive tea ceremony, the Belgian creator Sien Vanmaele focuses on the healing capacity of tea in the process of mourning. Can the tranquility of the ceremony be a way to mourn what we have lost? Can we, with the help of tea, calm our apocalyptic thoughts? The performance is a part of a series that explores how we can use our raw material in a more climate smart and sustainable way. As a participant of the performance you were asked to prepare some basic ingredients and kitchen supply.

The performance had a limited number of seats and was given on two occasions in English. Tickets must be pre-purchased online. To participate you needed access to Zoom, which is free to download here. Before the performance you received an e-mail with instructions, in English.

In collaboration with the Embassy of Belgium – Representation of Flanders.
