10th of March at Tempo Documentary Festival!

Tempo Documentary Festival is half-way in and is now beginning to screen some of the more popular films from it’s program. Don’t miss todays master class with Pietra Brettkelly, the premiere of Johan Palmgrens latest the Taxiklubben and much more. 

During the Thursday Tempo Pitch is kicking off where young and established talents compete for 75 000 SEK for their coming projects in front of a jury. Down below are some of our recommendations:


Homo Sacer
In Homo Sacer, we get to meet people and friends of young Esau (who was captured on film robbing a man) and the environment that gives a picture of him and the background to the event. What emerges is a complex image of a perpetrator who is also a victim. The director will come afterwards!

No Cow on the Ice
A filmmaker from Galicia, Spain emigrate to Sweden. Through a video diary based on glimpses and fragments from his everyday life, we follow the gradual conquest of the Swedish language, landscape, culture and society.

Influence Filmclub Doc-tails
Influence Film Club invites you to three evenings of after work-” doc- tails” in which documentary lovers and documentary filmmakers will have the opportunity to meet each other. Jerzy Sladkowski, director of Don Juan is visiting today’s Doc tails. The first 20 drinks each evening we offer – so come early!

Outdoor screenings with the Modern Museum
In cooperation with the SunshineSocialist Cinema the Moderna Museet presents four short films that highlight the artist and the art institution ‘s power. Displayed during Liljeholm Bronze northern stronghold and hot drinks are offered.
Begins 20.00 under the Liljeholms-bridge (Hornstull). 


Short Film Collection – Where’s the line?
In the short film package, you will see at the same time five short documentary films on the theme of power. For short film package comes a ticket for all films. All films have English subtitles.

Noncitizen: Filmmakers in exile
The nomadic cinema and culture project noncitizen invites to two days at Dramalabbet filled with screenings, seminars, workshops and dinner to talk about the image’s power and who has power over the image, with the film workers and journalists in exile.
Begins today 10.00 until 18.00 and the same hours tomorrow at Dramalabbet.
